Recognition® Herbicide

Recognition herbicide is a selective, broadleaf and sedge control product built for use in sensitive warm-season turf like St. Augustinegrass, zoysiagrass, kikuyugrass, and buffalograss. Its active ingredient, trifloxysulfuron-sodium, is a Group 2 herbicide capable of knocking back more than 40 different weeds — including all the major sedges and kyllingas, plus tough broadleaves like dollarweed and clover.

What sets Recognition apart is its built-in safener, metcamifen, a proprietary technology that protects the turf itself even during broadcast (rather than just spot) applications. That added safety margin also carries over into tank mixes: pairing Recognition with Turflon Ester Ultra can deliver faster, broader-spectrum control in a single pass, while combining it with Fusilade II gives turf managers a proven way to remove common and hybrid bermudagrass from established zoysiagrass without damaging the desired grass.
